Media Arts and Design Research Centre
Our ethos is that teaching is informed and improved by research. Researcher development is underpinned by research seminars from academic and non-academic contributors focusing on collaboration and encouraging interdisciplinary projects.
Research conducted through the Centre falls within six subject areas: Creative Media Technologies, Humanities, Journalism and Broadcasting, Theatre, Television and Performance, Welsh and Art and Design. Research includes themes of Social Engagement, Arts in Health, Material Thinking within Art and Design, and Technology & Innovation involving collaboration within the University’s Centre for Creative and Applied Research for the Digital Society (CARDS).
The centre produces publications, exhibitions, conferences, public seminars and generates both written and practice-led outputs. It also works closely with the University’s Oriel Sycharth Gallery.
If you are interested in studying for a research degree or collaborating with a researcher please contact.
